Student Guide to Library Resources: Study Areas

This LibGuide is meant to help students navigate the resources available to them from the NSCC Library.

Study Rooms

  • The library houses three small study rooms for general student use.
  • The study rooms are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Note: The Success Center also uses the Study Rooms for testing.
  • Each has a large whiteboard and markers for making notes or practicing presentations

McDougle Room

The McDougle Room houses some items of historical interest and also functions as a meeting room. Currently it is not open for general use.

Open Spaces

Located throughout the library, there are several tables with chairs for students to use. You can choose to study alone and spread out your material, or you can meet a classmate or two to work quietly on a group project.

For a more leisurely place to study, the library has a couple of couches and padded arm chairs that are great for people looking for a comfortable place to sit and read.
