Student Guide to Library Resources: Print Books

Print books are a large part of our collection. We have over 10,000 books available on a variety of topics. You can search our catalog here.  In addition to the main library collection, we also have the following:

• Juvenile literature collection - located along the west wall near the large display screens
• VCGD collection (Visual Communication and Graphic Design) - located along the north wall near the juvenile literature
• Local history collection - located in the McDougle conference room

In order to augment our collection of materials, we are a member of OhioLINK. This is a consortium of 120 Ohio college libraries that share items through a remote loaning system. Through OhioLINK, we have access to over millions of books, periodicals, audiovisual materials and more. You can search the OhioLINK catalog here, or use the search box at the bottom of this page. You can request an item from OhioLINK using your name and N-number.

Listed below are the two main sources of eBooks available to NSCC students:

Items checked out from the NSCC Library generally checkout for 3 weeks. However, some OhioLINK and SearchOhio items have shorter checkout periods. 

There are also NSCC Library items on reserve that checkout for shorter periods of time. The checkout period ranges from 4 hours to 7 days.
